lofoten archipelago - 2022

winter time in lofoten

The Lofoten Islands symbolise the strength and power of Norwegian nature and offers distinctive scenery with dramatic mountains and peaks, open sea and sheltered bays, beaches and untouched lands. Located approximatively 150km north of the Arctic Circle and approximately 2,420 km away from the North Pole, the archipelago experiences one of the world's largest elevated temperature anomalies relative to its high latitude.

Due to cloudy sky all week long during night time, the famous Northern lights were unvisible during this trip.
